Clifford “Yogi” McMurray - Dallas blues icon - Interview

Clifford “Yogi” McMurray was an icon in the Dallas blues scene and deeply loved by all who knew him.

He sadly passed May 9, 2019.

Yogi played with just about every major blues artist and legend during his life including Roscoe Gordon, Freddie King, B.B. King, Albert King, Albert Collins, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Chuck Berry, Zuzu Bolin, Muddy Waters, Tommy Duke, Jerry Coleman, Tutu Jones, Lucky Peterson, James Peterson and many, many others.  He opened for The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Three Dog Night and even played for the Queen of England in Buckingham Palace while on tour with Freddie King!
